| Dive Site Description: |
Bahura is our farthermost dive spot down the south coast
and takes around 20 minutes to get there.
Depending on
the current the divers enter from the south or north of the
quite big sanctuary. If the current is gentle only, the divers
can return to the entry point at the end of the dive. In the
beginning the dive descends to 18 to 25 meters passing
by coral blocks into the sanctuary followed by soft coral
fields.
After approx. half an hour the ascent into bigger coral
blocks starts and ends in the sea grass where the safety
stop will be performed. |

| What to see: |
Mantis shrimps, nudy branches, leaf fishes, scorpion fish
and little lion fishes can be seen, depending on the season
fish ghost pipe fishes and angler fishes are around.
Plenty of nudy branches can be found mostly at the same
spots, sea turtles and lonesome barracudas are roaming
through the sanctuary. In the center of the dive spot plenty
of brain or hat corals are resembling the chocolate hills
on Bohol Island.
In general Bahura is a very diversified dive
spot in terms of submarine landscape. At the end of the
dive where smaller coral blocks are sitting in the short sea
grass the resemblance to Swiss alps is striking and one is
expecting to spot a cow at any moment. |
